Truly hidden and truly a gem of Fort Collins. I didn't know it existed or where "Oak Street Mall" was and I've lived in Fort Collins for 4 years. Easy to find once you know where to look. Well worth it. My new favorite in Fort Collins. The weekend specials (Friday and Saturday) are worth seeking out. The cubano and the pastries are superlative.
Stopped in here for the first time for my lunch break. Got a cuban and a cortadito, both absolutely delicious. The cuban had good thick quality meat and was big, also affordable! The service was very friendly as well. Fun little spot.
As a Cuban from the east coast, authentic Cuban food was always easy to find and my go-to comfort when I needed a pick-me-up. When I moved to Fort Collins, I thought I’d lost that connection... until I found Babalu’s. Everything here is super fresh and delicious! The owners are so welcoming and kind to everyone who comes in. I’ve been enjoying their pastelitos with a colada multiple times a month for the past year—especially the guava and cheese pastelitos, which I highly recommend. Every time it takes me right back to my childhood. I really love this place and hope more people in Colorado get to try the amazing flavors of Cuban food here.
Nice little shop and pretty quick turn arround on the food. It also was very tasty. The coffee was amazing and the pastries were also really good. I had the lemon and so light and fluffy. Just a great feel to the shop and family.
Where do I even start. Being from Miami and growing up on Cuban food this was a delight to find. The food is so savory and delicious. The flavors are incredible and I can close my eyes and remember the little Cuban shop I would go to in Miami that was perfect. Everything you could want and need if you’ve been stuck out here as long as I have without Cuban food. Got full quick because of the quality they use. I will be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone missing out on some cuban food! They are now offering Dine in options as well! The buttered bread is inane. Bread made here I. House and the guava jelly is insane.
The food and service were incredible. I stopped in here for the first time with my daughter to get some Cuban coffee. We also, got the Cuban Frita burger and an empanada (thanks to the owner, Frank, for having us try it!). It was all amazing. Our new favorite place!
When we have the opportunity to stop into old town, we love stopping here! The Cubanos are wonderfully made with fresh handmade bread and you can tell how much love goes into each dish and dessert at Babalus! For sure a hidden gem in Fort Collins.
First time trying this Cuban restaurant, and we were not disappointed! I've had a lot of Cuban food and this is some of the best. The Arroz Con Pollo was so flavorful, I just wanted more (and I will come back for seconds). The Cuban Coffee was also on point. Yum yum yum!
